TYPES OF JOBS

Kitchen Staff

The Kitchen Staff prepares breakfast and lunch, assists with serving, and supports catering events. Duties include following Opaa! recipes for food preparation, maintaining food temperatures, cleaning, managing inventory, and ensuring quality and customer service.

Director of Nutrition Services

The Director of Nutrition Services (DNS) manages a school district's child nutrition program, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. They oversee kitchen operations, control costs, ensure meal quality, and maintain customer service and client relationships. The role also involves leading and developing staff while upholding Opaa!'s core values.

Kitchen Staff Sub

The Kitchen Staff Substitute handles food prep, serving, cleaning, inventory, and customer service as needed, ensuring quality and following recipes. This is part-time position.

Assistant DNS

The Assistant to the Director of Nutrition Services supports daily operations by promoting Opaa!’s core values, ensuring compliance, supervising the team, managing client relationships, and handling administrative tasks.

Kitchen Manager

The Kitchen Manager oversees daily operations, ensuring food quality, safety compliance, and cleanliness. They handle customer issues, coordinate satellite meals, train staff, and uphold Opaa!'s Core Values.

Home Office

Our Home Office is in Chesterfield, Missouri. It is home to the departments that support our operations in the field, which include Human Resources, Talent Acquisition, Payroll, Finance, Accounting, Purchasing, IT, Culinary and Marketing. Our selection process emphasizes the candidate's overall fit into our company culture as the most valuable hiring criteria.

CARES

This dedicated fund is designed to support employees facing financial challenges due to unexpected or extreme circumstances, such as natural disasters, medical emergencies, or other unforeseen hardships. Through this program, grants are provided to help ease the burden during difficult times, showing our unwavering commitment to caring for our team.

KENNETH L. SHORT MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP

Each year, Opaa! Food Management, Inc. awards $2,500 education scholarships to eligible employees, as well as their children or grandchildren. To qualify, employees must have been with the company for at least one year as of the scholarship application deadline.

By participating in these impactful programs, employees become part of something greater—building a workplace culture rooted in care, opportunity, and connection.
